NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Saints running back Alvin Kamara has adjusted his contract for the 2026 season.
However, unlike the standard restructure where a player converts part of his salary to a signing bonus, in this case the Saints used the 50% rule, according to Nick Underhill of New Orleans Football.
This rarely used maneuver creates cap space for the Saints but doesn’t add any future guarantees. Kamara’s new base salary will be $1.345 million, according to NFLPA records.
With this latest move, the Saints are projected to be near $20 million under the salary cap.
