Ngumoha gets rare start but goalless opening continues
Teenager Rio Ngumoha earned his fourth start of the season after recent bright cameos from the bench.
He was one of four changes from the side that started the league defeat at Molineux four days ago. The others saw Curtis Jones, Joe Gomez and Andy Robertson brought into a new look defence.
Wolves made changes themselves, but theirs were to restore first-choice players, having rested some for the league encounter, acknowledging that this Cup game was Rob Edwards side’s priority.
Liverpool, as they did on Tuesday, saw lots of the ball early on, although carried more of an attacking threat this time around. Ngumoha tested the ‘keeper early on after showing some quick feet to beat his man.

Ngumoha was a breath of fresh air, committing defenders and a constant threat down the left, but apart from that it was a desperately flat Liverpool performance again.
Goalless at the break. The 23rd time in 42 games this season that Liverpool failed to score in the first half.
Half-time: Wolves 0-0 Liverpool
Robertson changes the game in 95 seconds
Liverpool took the lead through an unlikely source shortly after the break when Robertson hit the strike of his life from the edge of the box to fire perfectly into the corner.

Ninety-five seconds later, the Scot played a perfect cross for Salah to finish at the back post.
The result was later assured when Jones cut inside from the right and curled a lovely shot from the edge of the box into the corner for a great finish.
So comfortable was it that Slot even introduced youngster Kieran Morrison in the latter stages, having already withdrawn Van Dijk and Mac Allister.
Wolves got a consolation goal when Liverpool yet again conceded in stoppage time. Hwang finishing from a long ball.
Liverpool go into the hat for the FA Cup quarter finals, which take place in early April.
