The Boston Herald's Andrew Callahan and Doug Kyed reported the New England Patriots have one clear issue with wide receiver Stefon Diggs going forward.

Following the release of Stefon Diggs, a certain former Baltimore Ravens Super Bowl champion wants Diggs back in Maryland.

Stefon Diggs is expected to be released by the New England Patriots at the start of the league year. Many wonder where the free agent wideout will end up.

Former Super Bowl Champion Torrey Smith took to X on where he wants to Diggs to end up. Torrey Smith was on the 2012 Baltimore Ravens Super Bowl winning team.

“Time to come on home…Either side of the beltway works” Smith said on X. Stefon Diggs grew up in the Baltimore/Washington area.

Though Diggs would be good asset if he came home, the wide receiver has seen some legal trouble in the past few months.

Stefon Diggs’ Legal Trouble and Baltimore’s WR Room

On December 22, Stefon Diggs was arrested for assault and battery after he was accused of strangling his personal chef earlier that month. Furthermore, Diggs has pleaded not guilty and denied all allegations. He’s scheduled to return to court on April 1.

However, it’s safe to say Stefon Diggs lived up to his contract with the Patriots in 2025. Diggs caught 85 passes for 1013 yards catching 4 touchdowns during the regular season.

Due to the Baltimore Ravens’ current Wide Receiver situation, Diggs may be worth giving an opportunity to. He has consistently produced especially over the past eight years of his career.

Though Zay Flowers has been consistent for the Ravens, Baltimore has struggled to find production outside of him. DeAndre Hopkins caught 22 passes for 330 yards and two touchdowns in the 2025 season. Hopkins is set to be a free agent in 2026 and will likely not be back with the Ravens.

Many thought Rashod Bateman was going to take a step forward in 2025 but regressed instead. Bateman only had 19 receptions for 224 yards in the 2025 season. While injuries played a role, he played in 13 of the Ravens’ 17 games in 2025.

Stefon Diggs Could Bring Consistency to Baltimore

Stefon Diggs has racked up 942 catches and 11,504 yards over his career. No matter if he’s in a controversial relationship with celebrities or beefing with Josh Allen–the wide receiver produces on the field.

If Diggs could land in Baltimore, he could be another reliable target for Lamar Jackson. Lamar Jackson finished the season with a 6-7 record, making 13 starts.

Lamar Jackson missing a few games early in the season hurt the franchise’s chances at the playoffs. Jackson did not have many fully participated in practices all year long dealing with multiple injuries (toe, ankle, back, knee). He missed four games due to injuries. Baltimore needs the two-time MVP to be on the field to succeed. Not only does Jackson have to be on the field, but he also has to play well for the Ravens to go far.

Wherever Diggs lands, his experience and playmaking ability could be valuable. In Baltimore’s case, they have to address their wide receiver room during free agency and possibly through the NFL draft. If we do see Diggs in Baltimore, this means Baltimore will once again have massive super bowl expectations. Hopefully, the 2026 season will be a better outcome than 2025.
