Andy Robertson has spoken honestly about his lack of regular game time at Liverpool this season and the challenge posed by summer signing Milos Kerkez. The left-back was instrumental in the Reds' fifth-round FA Cup victory over Wolves on Friday evening.
The Scotland captain broke the deadlock in the 3-1 triumph at Molineux and also set up teammate Mohamed Salah for another goal.
Speculation surrounding Robertson's future has intensified this term owing to his limited appearances and starting berths.
The Scotland international made his 27th appearances of the season for Liverpool in the win over Wolves, but it marked only his 14th start across all competitions this campaign.

With just five Premier League starts to his name this season, Robertson attracted interest from Tottenham Hotspur during the January window, particularly with his Anfield contract due to expire this summer, reports the Mirror.
Since Kerkez's arrival last summer, Robertson has often found himself as the club's back-up left-back this term, though the experienced defender has revealed what motivated his performance against Wolves.
"I am not sure I have got a point to prove in a Liverpool shirt,” Robertson told BBC Sport. “I think the fans know I give everything every time I come on the pitch and I hope they believe that.
"I have done that for nine years now so it's not really that (having a point to prove), it's just when you get on the pitch you want to enjoy it.”
Robertson also provided insight on how he has handled the competition with Kerkez this season, asserting that it's not an unfamiliar situation in his career.
He said: "It is what it is, Milos is a fantastic left-back, had an unbelievable season last season at Bournemouth and has taken a little bit of time to settle in to a big club, which everyone does.
"The club has to move forward, the lads that have been here for so long, we are not getting any younger, we are in our 30s now and the replacements have to come in.
"We know that, that is what we want for the club. We want them to be ambitious and we want them to go and compete in all fronts and you have to accept it.
"I have had competition my whole career, it's no different this season. Obviously I have not played as many games as I would have liked but that is part of football."
