On Saturday evening, the Detroit Pistons will host the Brooklyn Nets in Michigan.

The Pistons are coming off a 121-106 loss to the San Antonio Spurs in Texas.

For Friday’s game, the Pistons could be without Cunningham, as he is on their injury report.

He is listed as questionable.

Jacob Richman of MLive wrote: “Pistons early injury report vs.

Ron Holland not on the injury report.”

Cunningham is in the middle of an outstanding season with averages of 25.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, 9.8 assists and 1.5 steals per contest while shooting 45.5% from the field and 33.4% from three-point range in 55 games.

He was the first pick in the 2021 NBA Draft out of Oklahoma State (and has spent all five seasons with the Pistons).

The Pistons are also the best team in the Eastern Conference with a 45-16 record in 61 games.

They are winners of seven out of their last ten (but have lost two in a row).

Following the Nets, the Pistons will play their next game on Sunday when they visit Tyler Herro and the Miami Heat in Florida.

The NBA wrote (on January 19): “DETROIT’S RISE 📈 The Pistons year-to-year improvement has been special. Now sitting atop the East, this is the second fastest they have won 30 games in a season in franchise history!”
