After the game, the Raptors assigned Jackson-Davis to the G League.
Chris McKee wrote: “Some interesting news for the Raptors 905. They have signed former No.1 overall pick Markelle Fultz + Toronto has optioned Trayce Jackson-Davis to the G-League as well. The 905 lost 3 players to NBA deals this week (Sarr, Reese, Roddy) and needed bodies.”

Since Jackson-Davis is a third-year pro, the move was intriguing.
He was recently traded to the Raptors after spending the first two and a half seasons of his pro career with the Golden State Warriors.
His NBA career averages are 6.4 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists per contest while shooting 63.3% from the field in 173 games.
ESPN’s Shams Charania wrote (on February 4): “The Golden State Warriors have traded center Trayce Jackson-Davis to the Toronto Raptors for a 2026 second-round pick via the Lakers, sources tell ESPN.”

Jackson-Davis will more than likely be back with the Raptors when they host the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday in Toronto.

The Raptors have had a very strong season where they are the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 35-27 record in 62 games.
They are in the middle of a two-game losing streak (and are 5-5 over their last ten games).
Following the Mavs, the Raptors will play their next game on Tuesday night when they visit Kevin Durant and the Houston Rockets in Texas.
The franchise last made the NBA playoffs in 2022.
