Mohamed Salah’s career really kicked on when he got his own move away from Stamford Bridge, although Tim Howard believes the current Chelsea squad now have their own superstar.
Despite becoming one of the best players in Premier League history, Salah never made it at Chelsea. He was in the squad at the same time as superstar Eden Hazard.
John Terry has claimed Salah didn’t perform in training when Jose Mourinho was in charge, although there have been plenty of occasions in recent years where Chelsea would have loved a player like him in their side.

Tim Howard thinks Cole Palmer is Chelsea’s new Mohamed Salah
Chelsea’s star man at the moment is Cole Palmer, and Tim Howard has told the Unfiltered Podcast that he believes Palmer can provide the goal contributions that Salah did for so many years at Anfield.
He said: “I had him sort of picked as like the best player in the Premier League, which, which, you know. It’s a wild thing to say, but if you go back like a season and a half where he scored 20 plus goals and you’re thinking he can easily be, you know, what Mo Salah is to Liverpool, like Cole Palmer is that to Chelsea.

“I mean, two massive clubs. So like, so it’s not far-fetched to say he is or has the ability to be the best player in the Premier League.
“I mean, he’s shown that, he’s shown that. Now can you do that on a consistent basis?”
Despite an injury-hit campaign, Palmer’s strike against Aston Villa took him to nine Premier League goals for the season, further showcasing that form is temporary and class is permanent.
Discuss: Joao Pedro is the new Didier Drogba 🔥
He's overtaken the Chelsea icon's first-season numbers.
He is forming a super partnership with Joao Pedro, who is currently sitting as the fourth top scorer in the Premier League this season.
In an effort to get back to full fitness, it is almost certain that he will be rested from the starting side when the Blues make the trip to Wales to face Wrexham in the FA Cup.
The next time he is likely to be seen is the Champions League Round of 16 tie against PSG, where another top performance on the big stage will see him take the next step in the minds’ of neutrals.
