Rio Ngumoha might have earned the plaudits post-Wolves, but Trey Nyoni is also a brilliant youngster with a bright Liverpool future who managed to notch seven 100% stats on Friday.
As expected, the 17-year-old winger shone when he was given a rare start by Arne Slot, with Virgil van Dijk calling Ngumoha ‘special’ after the 3-1 win.
However, Trey Nyoni has also been banging on the first-team door this season, and his impressive stats after coming off the bench on Friday will have done his chances of starting more games no harm at all.

Trey Nyoni had seven 100% stats after coming on for Liverpool vs Wolves
Andy Robertson, Mohamed Salah and Curtis Jones had Liverpool 3-0 up by the 74th minute, allowing Slot to make some changes and rest senior players.
In turn, he gave some rare minutes to a couple of other Academy products, one of whom was Nyoni.
Now, his stats from the game have emerged and as per Sofascore, he managed 100% in a number of key areas.
Trey Nyoni vs Wolves
Accurate passes: 8/8 (100%)
Passes in opposition half: 3/3 (100%)
Passes in own half: 5/5 (100%)
Long balls (accurate):1/1 (100%)
Dribbles (successful): 1 (1) (100%)
Tackles (won): 1 (1) (100%)
Ground duels (won): 3 (3) (100%)
Yes, he did not come on until the 82nd minute, but the fact that he didn’t misplace one pass or fail to win a challenge in that period, plus the added time, is truly remarkable.

What Arne Slot has said about Trey Nyoni’s minutes at Liverpool
The 18-year-old’s situation has, up until the last few games anyway, been somewhat similar to his Academy teammate.
Liverpool’s midfield has been a problem this season, yet Nyoni has only been afforded six minutes in the Premier League, 11 in the FA Cup and 23 in the Champions League.
Slot has commented on the midfielder’s playing time already, suggesting he was close to a more regular role back in late January.
He said: “I think Trey showed when he came in that he comes closer and closer to a situation where I can also bring him in.
“He’s developed really nicely in the last year, he gets closer and closer to coming in in moments that matter even more. And that is how things work with young players, you just make step after step after step until the manager trusts you enough to play you in difficult moments.
“That has already happened for Rio and Trey is really close to that moment.”
