On Saturday, all eyes will be on North Wales as Wrexham try to shock Chelsea, who have won the FA Cup eight times, and reach the quarter-finals of the oldest cup competition in the sport for the first time in 29 years. The Robins will try to end Chelsea’s 24-game winning streak against lower-tier teams in the FA Cup.
The club have had a week off to get ready for the West London visitors. Phil Parkinson’s team have already beaten Nottingham Forest, a Premier League team, at home in the third round on penalties and Ipswich Town, another team hoping to get promoted, in the fourth round. Also, Wrexham have scored in 17 of their 18 home league games this season, making them a tough team to beat at the Racecourse Ground.
Start Time: Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 5:45 PM GMT
Location: Racecourse Ground in Wrexham, Wales
Where to Watch: BBC One and TNT Sports 2 in the UK, ESPN+ in the US, and Sony TEN 2 in India.
Rosenior has stressed the importance of taking this game seriously, even though they are heavy favourites to win.
“You want to win things and the FA Cup is an amazing competition for the tradition and history. But what we have to do is not think about the trophy or the finals, concentrate on Wrexham. I thought we were excellent [in previous rounds] and we’re going to have to be at the same level, at least, to win a game.”
The Blues have already beaten Charlton and Hull City by a combined score of 9-1 in both rounds. They are in a good mood after a 4-1 win over Aston Villa in the Premier League on Wednesday.
Chelsea Team News
Rosenior needs to make some important choices before the trip to North Wales on Saturday. Pedro Neto should be able to play again after serving his one-match suspension for getting a red card against Arsenal. However, the FA have charged the Portuguese winger with acting inappropriately and possibly using abusive language toward the officials.
The Blues are likely to make a lot of changes, with players like Benoit Badiashile, Liam Delap, Marc Cucurella, Romeo Lavia, and Tosin all pushing for starts. Rosenior may also choose Filip Jorgensen over Robert Sanchez in goal, as he tries to make the most of his squad depth.
However, Chelsea will still be without Estevao, Willian and Jamie Gittens, who are all close to returning from injury. Dario Essugo and Levi Colwill are both still out with knee problems.
