Vincent Kompany has dispelled a myth about Nicolas Jackson at Bayern Munich after accusations about the Chelsea loanee.
Nicolas Jackson is still giving his all for Bayern Munich, despite his future in Germany all but over after failing to meet the terms of the agreement to make his loan move permanent.
However, he was handed a rare start for Bayern Munich against Borussia Monchengladbach last night, with Jackson grabbing a goal and putting in a respectable performance.
Despite just eight starts in all competitions, he’s managed to score six goals and lay on two assists, with 15 of his appearances coming from the substitutes’ bench.
After Jackson was left out of Bayern Munich’s squad to face RB Leipzig earlier on in the season, many thought that the striker was an issue.
But Vincent Kompany has put any myths about Jackson to bed.

Vincent Kompany defends Nicolas Jackson criticism
Despite all the outside noise, Bayern Munich boss Vincent Kompany insists that Nicolas Jackson has always been a brilliant trainer during his time in Germany.
Speaking after Jackson scored in the 4-1 win last night, via @iMiaSanMia.
“He played very well today. I have to say that I noticed since I’ve been here that when everything is going well in the team, there are attempts to single out a player or two without any reason.
“The guy hasn’t done anything wrong, he trained extremely well, he won the AFCON.”

Vincent Kompany continued on Nicolas Jackson
Chelsea fans finally found out the real reason that Jackson has started so little games, and it’s completely understandable.
Kompany states that it’s down to Olise, Diaz and Kane being so good.
“But somehow, there are always stories about a player or two. Last season it was Serge Gnabry, sometimes Kingsley Coman, now it’s Nicolas Jackson.
“The reality of our dressing room is that it’s calm. Nicolas has performed very well in training and replicated it today.
“It’s true that when Harry Kane plays in your position, or Michael Olise, or Luis Díaz, it’s a bit difficult. There’s nothing more. Nico has done very well today and hopefully will do it again soon”
Jackson’s future at Chelsea hasn’t been ruled out, but it’ll be interesting to see what happens next.
