Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson is reportedly refusing to abandon his ambition of securing a permanent move to FC Bayern Munich despite growing uncertainty over his long-term future in Germany.
The striker joined Bayern on a season-long loan from CHELSEA in September 2025, with the Bundesliga champions holding an option to make the deal permanent if certain conditions are met.
However, reports in recent weeks have suggested the Bavarian club are increasingly hesitant to trigger that clause following a mixed campaign for the Senegal international.
Jackson has struggled for regular minutes under Bayern head coach Vincent Kompany, largely due to the presence of star striker Harry Kane, who remains the first-choice centre-forward.
The Chelsea loanee has made only a handful of Bundesliga starts and has often been limited to cameo appearances from the bench.
Despite that situation, sources close to the player insist Jackson remains determined to convince Bayern to keep him beyond the current campaign. Reports claim the striker is “trying like hell” to stay at the Allianz Arena and still views a permanent switch as his preferred outcome this summer.
Bayern officials have not yet made a final decision on the forward’s future. While some speculation has suggested the German giants may move in a different direction during the next transfer window, insiders maintain that discussions about Jackson’s future will take place only after the season concludes.
Meanwhile, CHELSEA are expected to reassess the striker’s situation if he returns to Stamford Bridge. The Blues are believed to be open to selling the forward permanently and could entertain offers from other clubs should Bayern decline to activate their purchase option.
For now, Jackson’s focus remains on proving his worth in Munich. With the season entering its decisive stages, the Chelsea loanee knows strong performances could yet change Bayern’s stance and keep his dream move alive.
