Igor Thiago is currently the second top scorer in the Premier League this season, and when asked to name any Brazilian in world football he’d like to play alongside, he gave one of the Chelsea stars as his answer.
While Blues fans are rightly raving about Joao Pedro’s goal tally, it only makes Thiago’s more impressive. He has 19 goals in all competitions so far this season.
Unsurprisingly, top clubs have been linked with signing the striker, with Chelsea being reported to be interested in Thiago recently.

Igor Thiago admits he’d love to play alongside Chelsea’s Estevao Willian
If this move was to happen, the Brentford man would get his wish to feature alongside Estevao Willian at Stamford Bridge. The wonderkid has a bright future ahead of him in the Premier League.
When asked by CB Milli about which Brazilian in world football he would like to feature alongside, he said:

“I think Estevao. We played together in Cruzeiro, I saw him a few times when I was there. He has some real quality, and he’s a good guy. I look forward to it.”
Thiago is one of those competing to be in Carlo Ancelotti’s Brazil squad for the 2026 World Cup. His impressive numbers will make him difficult to ignore.
If he was to be called up, he would join up with Chelsea’s golden boy, after Estevao has already seen his place in the squad confirmed.
The partnership in attack would certainly cause issues for defences, although Thiago is battling another Chelsea man in the same position as him.

Thiago vs Pedro for Brazil striker spot at the World Cup
Pedro is just four goals behind Thiago in the Premier League after his hat-trick against Aston Villa this week, with Chelsea fans thrilled with their summer signing.
Pedro may not have been signed to be a pure number nine, but he has earned that position with his regularly brilliant performances, even without his impressive goalscoring run since Liam Rosenior came in.
The Premier League duo are the leading candidates to start in the number nine role for their country this summer, with Estevao a shoo-in to feature alongside them.
Chelsea’s representatives may not end there either. Andrey Santos is playing his way into contention now he is featuring far more often.
