Mohamed Salah reaches new milestone that will upset Manchester United fans

This one won’t sit right with the red side of Manchester.

Liverpool beat Wolves 3-1 in the FA Cup last night as they put their sorrows of midweek Premier League, to the same side, behind them.

The Reds were glaringly sluggish in the league fixture, struggling to open up a Wolves defence that sit at the very bottom of the table.

It took the home side to go 1-0 up before Liverpool kicked into gear to score an equaliser but their efforts went unnoticed as Molineux was left rocking after a last-minute winner.

Arne Slot’s side broke an unwanted record that night, becoming the first side to lose five games thanks to a 90th minute goal in the Premier League, the most conceded by any side in a single campaign in the competition’s history.

It would’ve come as a relief that a better performance was put in on Friday night, as crashing out of the FA Cup, as well as falling behind in the race for the top four, really would’ve painted a grim reading.

Many fans had been calling out for Arne Slot to gift Rio Ngumoha another start and that he did, with the youthful winger extremely lively during his time on the pitch.

Stretching the Wolves defence, creating problems, he was a big reason behind that win yesterday.

However, Friday’s game was yet another occasion where Mohamed Salah broke a goalscoring record.

Over the years, the Egyptian has done a lot of that, but this particular record will most certainly bother Manchester United fans.

As a result of scoring Liverpool’s second goal, Mohamed Salah has now scored more goals for Liverpool than any player in Manchester United’s history.

The confirmation of that will taste even sweeter given that it is Salah’s least productive season in a Liverpool shirt to date, but the 33-year-old keeps winning one over his fiercest rivals.

The winger has endured fierce criticism over the course of the season, but he will be hoping to build on scoring in back-to-back games for the first time in 2025/26.

Mohamed Salah has now scored more goals for Liverpool than anyone has ever scored for Manchester United.
