The New Orleans Saints have some promise for the future after year-one of Tyler Shough and Kellen Moore went incredibly well.
But, in their first offseason together, the Saints will have some difficult decisions to make. Their unrestricted free agents have a few key players set to hit the open market, and deciding which to bring back will be difficult.
And if ESPN's Katherine Terrell's prediction comes true, which would have the Saints bringing only one of their top-four free agents back, this decision will be a whole lot trickier to make.
Saints face tricky decisions on top-four free agents
"What do you expect to happen: Re-sign only one of their big four free agents," Terrell predicts.
The Saints losing 75% of their top outgoing free agents would sting. But who are these top-four free agents that Terrell is talking about?
Linebacker Demario Davis, tight end Taysom Hill, cornerback Alontae Taylor, and defensive end Cameron Jordan are the top four free agents for the Saints.
According to Terrell's prediction, only one of these players will be coming back this offseason for the 2026 season.
As Terrell noted, "the Saints have already told him (Davis) they want him back, making him more likely to return than Jordan."
Between Davis and Jordan, the veteran linebacker is more likely to come back to New Orleans than the 15-year defensive line veteran who's spent his entire career with the Saints.

Jordan isn't retiring and will hit the open market this offseason. If the Saints are focusing on Davis over him, Jordan might be on a new team next year.
The other two, Taylor and Hill, are also not likely to come back. The Saints have a history of letting veteran cornerbacks leave, and Taylor is likely to join that group.
Hill is a fun player and a fan-favorite. But there was a lot of buzz about a potential retirement as the season came to a close, and with the Saints' offense changing with Moore in charge, Hill might not be a fit anymore.
Change is coming for the Saints this offseason, and this prediction from Terrell, that only one of these top-four free agents will return, is a sign of the times changing in New Orleans.
