Eleven-year-old Billy Jeavons has been selected to travel with his team in March to take part in the prestigious tournament, where youth sides from across Europe will compete.
The opportunity marks a major milestone for the young player, who has already earned a reputation among teammates and coaches for his talent, dedication and passion for the sport.
However, the cost of taking part in the international tournament - including travel, accommodation, tournament fees and kit - means the family is seeking sponsorship to help make the trip possible.
Billy’s mother, Kerry Murphy, said: “Sport plays such an important role for boys,” she said.
“It encourages them to stay active, spend time outdoors, and learn how to work as part of a team.
“Team sports build confidence, resilience and a real sense of belonging.
“Football means everything to Billy, and he works so hard at it. Taking part in an international tournament at his age would be a wonderful experience for him, and we would be extremely grateful for any support that might help him take part.”
The family is now inviting local businesses, organisations and members of the community to consider sponsoring Billy’s journey.
Contributions of any size would help cover the costs of the trip, and sponsors will be recognised through team communications, social media mentions and logo placement on training wear where appropriate.
