Philadelphia Eagles sign Jordan Davis to a massive extension

The NFL free agency period unofficially begins on Monday. Teams are trying to lock down their top talent before they hit the open market.

The Philadelphia Eagles, however, are also taking care of those under contract in 2026. They have decided to reward their former 2022 first-round pick.

The Eagles have reportedly signed defensive tackle Jordan Davis to a three-year, $78M extension. The contract extension keeps Davis in Philadelphia for the foreseeable future.

ESPN Sources: The Eagles and DT Jordan Davis have reached agreement on a three-year extension, tying him to Philadelphia for the next four seasons.

The Eagles previously picked up Davis’ fifth-year option last offseason–locking him into 2022. This now gives Davis a well-deserved pay bump and keeps him around.

Davis was a standout out of Georgia who came to Philadelphia selected 13th overall. His play isn’t one that will light up the stat sheet.

However, Davis’ stellar ability to control the line of scrimmage has been a lethal duo alongside Jalen Carter. Davis is proving to be a vital part of an Eagles defense that dominated Super Bowl 59 a year ago.

The Eagles have been looking to add some more pass-rush help on the EDGE. For now, a vital part of their interior line is staying for a while.
