Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is at the center of some heartbreaking news just days before the NFL free agency period begins.
Prescott had a strong season during the 2025-26 run, starting in 17 games for the Dallas Cowboys, notching 4,552 yards, 30 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Over those games, he completed 404 of 600 passes for a 67.3 percent average and had a 99.5 passer rating. Prescott also appeared in his fourth Pro Bowl. So, it was a successful professional year for the quarterback, even though the Cowboys didn’t get to the postseason.
Now, according to a report from TMZ, Prescott and his fiancée Sarah Jane Ramos aren’t getting married. The news comes one month before their wedding, and according to research from the outlet, they’re breaking up.
Earlier this week, they note that she shared several photos from her bachelorette party with her closest friends and said, “I truly believe you can get through anything in life as long as you have really great friends. I love these girls so much.”
Prescott and Ramos are believed to have started dating in 2023. According to Brides magazine, “Although the origin of Prescott and Ramos' relationship is unknown, the two were first romantically linked in September 2023. After the Cowboys’ first home game of the season, which was against the New York Giants, Ramos posted a photo with the star quarterback on her Instagram Story.”
Brides adds that on Nov. 17, 2023, Ramos featured Prescott on her Instagram feed, sharing that she celebrated her 30th birthday with the quarterback. Then, on Nov. 26, 2023, Ramos announced that she and Prescott were expecting a baby.
Now, Prescott has two children, both daughters, with Ramos. Their first daughter, Margaret Jane “MJ” Rose, was born in Feb. 2024, and their second daughter, Aurora Rayne, was born in May 2025.
The two announced their engagement on Oct. 18, 2024. “The athlete proposed during a round of golf, and he popped the question with a dazzling emerald-cut engagement ring,” the Knot notes in a relationship timeline for the couple.
