Ryan Reynolds wasted no time in reacting to Wrexham’s 4-2 loss to Chelsea in the FA Cup by making a statement on just how far his side have come.
Chelsea were made to work hard for their place in the next round of the FA Cup. Wrexham took a 2-1 lead before Josh Acheampong got them level, and then Alejandro Garnacho and Joao Pedro settled things.
It wasn’t the best of performances, with quite a few Chelsea players being given a low rating for their performance, but all that matters is that they got the job done in the end.
The reaction of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney said it all, as they both stood up and applauded at full-time. It was a game that really pushed Chelsea and exposed a few improvements that need to be made.
And after the game, Reynolds ended up releasing a statement on the result.
Garnacho is on fire right now!

Ryan Reynolds is proud of his Wrexham side after pushing Chelsea
Talking on his personal X account, Ryan Reynolds reminisced on how far Wrexham have come in such a short space of time, which is a credit to them.
“Three years ago this week, we battled Maidenhead United to a draw. Today we pushed Chelsea to extra time. So incredibly proud of Wrexham’s performance today.”
However, not to take anything away from Wrexham, but this was a mostly weakened Chelsea side in a system that only hampered them for most of the game.
That’s now two wins from two for Chelsea against Wrexham, after the 5-0 win in the summer.
