When it comes to the Boston Celtics‘ Sunday afternoon outing against the Cleveland Cavaliers on March 7, there’s no question about Jayson Tatum’s status.
After making is season debut on Friday night against the Dallas Mavericks, the star forward has been left off the injury report entirely for Sunday’s game. Barring any unexpected changes, Tatum is good to go for his second-straight game.

Friday’s game was a great opportunity for the recovering Tatum to get his feet wet again.
The Celtics were hosting a struggling Mavericks team at home in front of a hostile crowd that couldn’t wait for the All-Star to get back on the court.
Tatum returned with a bang. The Celtics didn’t restrict his minutes too much and allowed him to join the starting lineup alongside Sam Hauser, Neemias Queta, Derrick White, and Jaylen Brown.
In 27 minutes, Tatum shot 6-16 from the field to score 15 points. The veteran forward also added 12 rebounds, seven assists, and one steal to his productive night.
The Celtics took care of business with a 120-100 win over the Mavs. With that win, they advanced to 42-21 on the year.
The situation gets more challenging moving forward. The Celtics will take on the 39-24 Cavaliers, who are on a two-game winning streak. The game takes place on the road.
If all goes as expected for the Celtics, Tatum will be on the floor for the 1 PM ET tip.
