The embattled Grizzlies star finally broke his silence about his future in Memphis and the Jaren Jackson Jr. trade.
Ja Morant finds himself as the only man left in the Memphis Grizzlies' contention core, but he stands hopeful to stay and still be a part of the franchise's long-term plans.

"I hope so," he told Damichael Cole of the Memphis Commercial Appeal if he sees himself remaining as a Grizzly next year. "You would know more than me. The internet is right there. Everything you're asking me has been on the internet."
Morant addressed reporters for the first time since he was sidelined with a left elbow injury last January.
Since then, a lot has changed around him and the Grizzlies. Co-star Jaren Jackson Jr. was dealt in the team's blockbuster deal with the Utah Jazz from the past trade deadline.
By receiving a highly significant three future first-round picks, it is crystal clear that the Grizzlies are pivoting towards a major rebuild. While he disagreed about Jackson Jr.'s stunning trade exit, Morant clarified that he understands the business side and expressed optimism that he can still be happy in the Grizzlies.
"Why can't I be? I've been happy this whole time," he said.
