Cleveland Cavaliers Make Jarrett Allen Announcement Before Celtics Game

On Sunday afternoon, the Cleveland Cavaliers will play the Boston Celtics at home in Ohio.

The Cavs most recently beat the Detroit Pistons by a score of 113-109.

Jarrett Allen played 21 minutes, finishing with eight points, three rebounds and one steal while shooting 4/7 from the field and 0/2 from three-point range.

For Sunday’s game, the Cavs will be without Allen, as he has been ruled out.

Allen is in the middle of another strong season for the Cavs.

The former All-Star is averaging 15.3 points, 8.5 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 63.6% from the field in 51 games.

He has been especially good since the addition of 2018 James Harden.

The former Texas star was the 22nd pick in the 2017 NBA Draft.

He spent the first half of his career playing for the Brooklyn Nets.

His career averages are 13.0 points, 9.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.2 blocks per contest while shooting 64.1% from the field in 619 games.

The Cavs are coming off a season where they were the first seed in the Eastern Conference.

Right now, they are the fourth seed with a 39-24 record in 63 games.

They have won seven out of ten (and two in a row).
