The Dallas Cowboys are sharing a major update on one of their star players who has been on the sidelines for weeks.

The 2026 NFL offseason has been the main topic of conversation throughout the league, but Dallas Cowboys star quarterback Dak Prescott had some sad personal news come out on Saturday.

According to a report from TMZ, Prescott and his fiancee, Sarah Jame Ramos, have broken up just a month before they were due to get married.

“Dallas Cowboys superstar Dak Prescott and his fiancée, Sarah Jane Ramos, are not getting married — TMZ Sports has learned the two have broken up one month before their wedding,” the report read.

TMZ provided more details about what happened to cause the couple to break up.

“We’re told the relationship had been rocky behind the scenes for months … but things came to a head with a blowup argument at their joint bachelor and bachelorette parties in the Bahamas — and Sarah Jane called it off.”

Fans quickly flooded to the comments section of TMZ’s report. Some of the replies were heartfelt for Prescott, while others roasted him.

One fan wrote, “bro never getting a ring.”

Another comment read, “Even she didn’t want to root for the Cowboys for the rest of her life.”

“Honestly, calling off an engagement a month before the wedding is about as difficult as these situations get for both of them. Hoping they both land in a good place,” a third fan commented.

A fourth fan chimed in, “Ending it just a month before the wedding is heartbreaking. Wishing them both peace.”

“Cowboys never close,” a fifth comment said.

At the time of this writing, there are almost 800 comments on the TMZ report. There are a good mix of supportive comments and roasts included.

The Cowboys Are Set for a Busy NFL Offseason

While Prescott is clearly going through some personal turmoil, Jerry Jones and the Cowboys are focused on just one thing. They want to get back to being a legitimate Super Bowl contender.

In order to do that, Dallas is going to need to spend some money. Jones has been very open and vocal about his goal to do just that this offseason.

“I would bet that we will spend more money in free agency than we have,” Jones said. “I want you to know that the only way to push forward is for me to go borrow some of my future. Expect me to go borrow some of my future, OK?”

Hopefully, the Cowboys are able to build back to being a serious contender in 2026. There would be nothing that would help Prescott heal from his breakup more than going on to win a Super Bowl the very next season.
