The New England Patriots have plenty of needs to fill this offseason, and it all starts with the work they do once the legal tampering period begins on Monday at 12 p.m. ET.
It's safe to say the work has already started, but we don't want to blow up their spot...
If you're aware of how these things usually work, though, you know that deals will start being reported as soon as the window opens -- with big-money free agents miraculously agreeing to terms within minutes of their first contact with teams, franchise landscapes changing in the matter of minutes, and months of speculation coming to a head.
I don't typically like setting myself up for failure, but in the spirit of such a ridiculous process it only made sense to put together such a ridiculous list. The Patriots have some moves to make, and yours truly believes these are the most likely to come across your timeline in the coming days:
WR Alec Pierce
Pierce should be the organization's primary target, no matter how much we all talk about A.J. Brown, Jaelan Phillips, Odafe Oweh, or Trey Hendrickson. The Patriots don't need to give up draft capital in order to bring in their new top option, they just need to have the foresight to see that there's one for the taking on the open market.

LB Leo Chenal
Chenal has been the most versatile player on two Super Bowl-winning defenses since entering the league as a third-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. I don't know why he's flown under the radar, but perhaps that plays into the organization's favor as they look to get younger and faster on the second level.

IOL Dylan Parham
Parham has familiarity with the coaching staff (Josh McDaniels), has started games at three different positions during his career (LG, RG, C), and set career marks for sacks allowed (6) and quarterback pressures allowed (28) in 2025. Will Campbell and Jared Wilson need to work with someone steady during their sophomore campaign, and it doesn't get more steady than this guy.

EDGE Al-Quadin Muhammad
Muhammad isn't the big name you're all expecting, but he produced at an extremely high level last season and won't cost nine figures. The Patriots need to add multiple pass-rushers, and this might be the best value option.

OT Jedrick Wills
Wills has already visited One Patriot Place. If the organization can convince him to compete for his role, it's a no-brainer decision to sign him and hope he can contribute.
