Report: Nicolas Jackson's agent has just offered £61m Premier League star to Chelsea

Chelsea are likely to orchestrate another big summer of spending under Todd Boehly and already, players are being offered to the Blues – the latest, being Brentford’s Kevin Schade.

New attacking players are more than likely to arrive at Chelsea in the summer, with Geovany Quenda and Emanuel Emegha already set to arrive when the season ends. But the chances are, more will follow.

After Christopher Nkunku, Jamie Gittens and Timo Werner, how do you feel about Chelsea signing players from Germany? 🇩🇪

That is despite the improved form of Alejandro Garnacho and Joao Pedro, both of whom were on the scoresheet on Saturday night as Chelsea finally managed to overcome Championship outfit Wrexham.

Schade, meanwhile, has finally started to show why Brentford paid a £22m fee to lure him to West London from German side Freiburg in the summer of 2023. Now, his agents are planning for his next big move.

Kevin Schade offered to Tottenham and Chelsea

According to German newspaper Bild, Schade is a player of interest to Bayern Munich as the German giants scour the market for a Luis Diaz back-up. However, Schade is deemed too expensive for Bayern.

Indeed, Brentford are said to want a £61m fee for Schade and for Bayern, that is too much to spend on a back-up attacker. With that in mind, Schade’s agents have moved to secure a move for him elsewhere.

Schade, who has had a hand in 10 Premier League goals this season, is said to be keen on a move to either Chelsea or Tottenham. The agency owned by Ali Barat represents Schade and Nicolas Jackson.

Of course, Schade is not the only Brentford player that Chelsea want to sign. Striker Igor Thiago has been strongly linked with a move to Stamford Bridge after a stellar season in front of goal under Keith Andrews.

Is Kevin Schade good enough to play for Chelsea?

Given the quality Chelsea have in the final third, combined with the two players set to join the club in the summer, Schade would struggle to get regular game time for Chelsea. Even if he is proven in England.

What do you make of that attack? 🔥

A five-time Germany international, 24-year-old Schade has scored 21 goals in 103 games for Brentford though many of those outings have been off the bench. A speed machine, but Schade lacks the numbers.

Especially for a fee of £61m. Chelsea can, and probably will, do a lot better than spending north of £60m on an attacker. Schade would be a solid signing as back-up, but the Blues can get better value for money.
