Chelsea have a wealth of attacking options, and that will grow in the summer, with the arrivals of two more. But the Blues could continue to add players and the latest is Kevin Schade.
Chelsea have five options out wide at the moment, including Cole Palmer, while Geovany Quenda will make that six come the summer. Emanuel Emegha will join, and Nicolas Jackson will return. Five strikers.
Incredible numbers, and yet, it would come as no surprise to see Todd Boehly sign two or three big-name attacking players just as he did last summer. The latest linked with Chelsea is Brentford’s Kevin Schade.

Bayern Munich have decided that at £61m, Schade is too expensive for the German champions as they look for competition for Luis Diaz. Meanwhile, Schade has been offered to both Chelsea and Tottenham.
Kevin Schade is the best winger in Europe for aerial duels won
There is no doubt that Estevao, Pedro Neto, Jamie Gittens, Alejandro Garnacho, incoming Geovany Quenda and main man Cole Palmer are all excellent options. On their day, all six can be unplayable.

But what all six lack is any kind of aerial ability. The six wingers are known for their speed, their creativity, their ingenuity, dribbling, and skill. But none of them are known for their physicality or aerial ability.
By contrast, and what could tempt Chelsea, is that £61m-rated Schade is Europe’s best winger when it comes to aerial duels won. This season, Schade has won 66 aerial duels, 51.6% of the battles he’s entered.
That’s better than any other winger in European football, ahead of Antoine Semenyo, Atletico Madrid’s Nico Gonzalez and veteran winger Ivan Perisic with the former Tottenham and Inter star now at PSV.
Chelsea should not pass up the chance to sign Kevin Schade
Those of a Chelsea persuasion will hear the news regarding five-time Germany international Schade and be somewhat unbothered. Schade is a good player, without ever really excelling in the Premier League.
Kevin Schade would give Chelsea an EXTRA dimension 💥
He's so good in the air!
Now 24, Schade has had a hand in 10 Premier League goals this season, scoring seven and creating three. In 103 appearances for Brentford, he’s netted 21 goals and laid on eight assists. Not eye-catching stats.
But the aerial ability is eye-catching. If Chelsea need a goal out of nowhere, if the Blues have to go direct, if Chelsea simply need to unlock a low block with a few crosses, Schade provides an extra dimension.
It is something Liam Rosenior and Chelsea should seriously consider, especially with Quenda hardly going to come in and provide anything different to what they already have. Schade gives something different.
