Ryan Gravenberch has signed along the dotted line to stay at Liverpool until 2032, and now he’s primed to explode.
The Dutchman was delighted to commit to the club for a further four years, and you would be after getting such a significant bump in pay — now £277,000 per week.
Looking ahead to the football side of things, Gravenberch is now well-positioned to kick on for the remainder of the season.
Well, that’s what happened with Cody Gakpo a few months ago, enjoying his best stretch of the season by far after signing a contract extension of his own.

Ryan Gravenberch, Cody Gakpo, and the new contract bounce
Back at the end of September, Liverpool tied Gakpo down to an extension. To that point, the winger had just the one goal for the Reds in all competitions.
After putting pen to paper on a new contract, he scored three in his next four club outings, and another three goals in two World Cup qualifiers. It was a short-lived explosion of form — the Dutchman has scored just four goals for Liverpool since then.
But it points to Gravenberch kicking on after a few difficult months. Having been one of the key players for Arne Slot last season, we need him back at his best.

Some have criticised Slot’s defensive use of Gravenberch, but when he’s at his best, he can play the role to the highest level.
There have been promising signs in recent weeks, and his new deal could well spur him to take his game to another level — the level he showed consistently last term.
Best mates Gakpo and Gravenberch commit to Liverpool
Not only are the two stars teammates for club and country, they’re close friends as well.
In a ‘Day in the Life’ vlog for Liverpool’s official YouTube channel, Gravenberch revealed that the two spend lots of time together.
He said: “Cody [Gakpo], I have a close relationship with him, sometimes, after [training], we do some things together. We just go out to dinner.”

Liverpool are getting around to the various expiring deals that threaten to cause a Trent Alexander-Arnold repeat. Next up could be Ibrahima Konate, Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai.
As for Gakpo and Gravenberch, they can focus fully on the football with their futures secured.
