Jalen Hurts is one of the best quarterbacks in the game, and led them to win the Super Bowl LIX. However, they could not replicate that success last season. They finished 11-6 in the regular season, and were knocked out of the playoffs in the NFC Wild Card by the San Francisco 49ers.
Currently, the players are in the offseason period, and Hurts has achieved something important, though fans are not happy with it.
Jalen Hurts completes Master’s in Human Relations
Hurts has continued to excel in the 2025 regular season, and has played in 16 games. He completed 294 passesfor 3,224 yards and 25 touchdowns, while also having6 interceptions, while also rushing for 421 yards and 8 touchdowns. While he could not inspire his team to success, it was still a decent individual season from him.

The quarterback has always demonstrated his commitment to not just his professional growth but also his personal growth. Back in May 2023, he earned his Master’s degree in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma. He had played college football for one season at the University of Oklahoma after transferring from Alabama, where he played for three seasons. However, he only completed the degree during his time at the Eagles.
The program was done online, and came after the 2022 season where he led the Eagles to Super Bowl LVII. He then signed a $255M deal with the franchise. Hurts spoke regarding the achievement, “I’m glad I got it out of the way. It’s something off the checklist and I was able to knock out the classes online after everything settled from the season.”
He previously completed his Bachelor’s degree in public relations and information sciences in 2018 at the University of Alabama. Many fans were not impressed with this achievement, and mocked him in the comments.
Fans mock Jalen Hurts for Master’s in Human Relations
Many thought that the subject was not useful at all, and required no hard work. They clowned Hurts on social media to show their disapproval.
One user said, “Master’s in Human Relations????? HAHAHAHA. What kind of mickey mouse degree is that.”
A second user wrote, “Lucky he has football because a masters in human relations just leaves a big college loan and no useful job skills.😂”
A third user replied, “What’s he going to do with a human relations degree?”
Another added, “Bro, you plan on working in HR post NFL??”
A fifth user remarked, “one of those special DEI degrees that all you have to do is go into student debt for half a mil. or say you are going to class and be a NFL QB.”
A sixth user commented, ““Human Relations?” If that’s true then he hasn’t applied it to his pro football career”.
