Eagles trade rumor could lead to deal with Packers, Bears, Seahawks, 49ers or Raiders

After the Philadelphia Eagles locked up one of their defensive linemen to a long-term deal, the team is receiving calls on his running mate.

According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, the Eagles are getting trade calls on defensive tackle Jalen Carter. Fowler did not say if the Eagles are interested in trading him, though.

"With defensive tackle Jordan Davis now extended, Philly also must weigh whether to extend Jalen Carter, who is eligible for a new deal. I'm told Philly has received trade calls on Carter," Fowler reported.

Easton Butler of Packers Report reveals that five teams specifically have made that call: the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears, San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks and Las Vegas Raiders.

All five teams could use more help up the middle, so it makes sense why they would inquire about Carter.

A former first-round pick, Carter is extension eligible this year, but it remains to be seen how keen Philly will be on paying big money to two defensive linemen.

If that's not something general manager Howie Roseman wants to do, we could see the Eagles trading Carter at some point.

But the Eagles don't have to make that decision now, as Carter has two years left on his rookie contract when you include the fifth-year option.

We find it hard to believe the Eagles will move off Carter now.

After all, Philly has Super Bowl aspirations and zero motivation to move the Georgia product, barring a massive offer they simply can't refuse.
