Arsenal reportedly hold serious interest in Vasilije Kostov of Red Star Belgrade.
Earlier this week, Italian outlet Calciomercato reported that the Gunners were among the clubs keen on the 17-year-old attacking midfielder. They even suggested Arsenal had tabled a €20m offer for Kostov, which was immediately rejected by Red Star.
Now, an update has emerged on the player’s future.
According to Serbian source Mozzart Sport, Arsenal do have a strong interest in signing Kostov. However, there is no confirmation on whether Mikel Arteta’s side actually made an offer.
Meanwhile, it is understood that Ligue 1 side Marseille have submitted a proposal to sign the talented midfielder. The bid, reportedly worth around €17m plus bonuses, was turned down by Red Star, who are holding out for at least €25m to sanction any sale.
