Latest Mike Evans update brutal for Buccaneers

The future of Tampa Bay Buccaneers receiver Mike Evans has been a big discussion point over the past couple of weeks, as the veteran seeks to explore his options in free agency.

With the Buccaneers still in the mix for Evans, so too are all other teams that have an interest in signing the star weapon.

We have heard the Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills, and Baltimore Ravens are just a handful of teams who might be interested.

And now the Athletic's Dianna Russini has reported, via Evans' agent, that the receiver will test the market to see his value before making a decision on where he will play in 2026.

Wide receiver Mike Evans plans on exploring his options in free agency, per his agent Deryk Gilmore.

Where will Evans sign?

That is the million-dollar question, and right now, it appears those who tick all the boxes in Evans' checklist are in play.

Evans reportedly wants to go to a team with a top OC, a good quarterback, a promise of targets, and a chance at a Super Bowl.

So, in a nutshell, a contender. Does that discount the Buccaneers? I'd say so.

Of course, there is a chance Evans returns to Tampa, but if his checklist is to be believed, the Buccaneers don't tick many boxes.

We are getting closer to finding out where Evans will play in 2026, and I get the feeling it won't be Tampa Bay.
