As per emerging reports, Chelsea are looking to give Estevao a new contract after the World Cup this summer because they see him as an important part of their plans for the present and the future. Since he came to the Premier League from Palmeiras last summer, the 18-year-old Brazilian winger has quickly become one of the league’s most exciting young players.
The Blues are reportedly set to offer the youngster improved terms, even though he signed a deal with Chelsea that would last until 2033 when he joined the team 18 months ago. Estevao has scored seven goals and set up three others in 32 games in all competitions.
Estevao reportedly makes about £72,000 a week at Stamford Bridge right now. That is a lot of money for a teenager, but it’s still one of the lower salaries on the Chelsea team. Jamie Gittens, Alejandro Garnacho, and Pedro Neto all make more. A new deal would likely bring his pay in line with his teammates’.
Chelsea’s management sees the teenage star as a commercial goldmine, and the team believes he is among the few players who can’t be traded. Rumours are even suggesting a new deal could be done sooner rather than later, especially since he is expected to be a key player for Brazil at the World Cup.
Carlo Ancelotti Has Confirmed Estevao Will Be at the World Cup
Estevao has been an important player for Brazil since Carlo Ancelotti took over as manager. He has become a regular in the Selecao setup. The winger played for Brazil for the first time in September 2024 and has since scored five goals in 11 games.
When asked in December if Estevao would be on the plane to North America this summer, Ancelotti was very open about how he planned to use the teenager.
“I think so. Based on how Estevao has played in the last six months, I think so. Estevao will be at the World Cup.”
Ancelotti also called him a very special player and said he has a lot of natural talent, but still needs to work on his physical and tactical skills. Recent reports say that Ancelotti has already picked 18 of the 26 players he needs for the tournament, and Estevao is one of them.
Estevao is back running on the training field at Cobham after missing Chelsea’s last three games because of a hamstring injury. However, head coach Liam Rosenior has said that the winger wasn’tfully fit and needs to clear a few more hurdles before he can play in a competitive match again.
