The Denver Broncos will soon go shopping in free agency, looking to add some offensive weapons to help get to the Super Bowl next season, something they fell one step short of this past season.
The Broncos could use playmakers at wide receiver, running back and tight end, but they will have to navigate negotiating contracts while having to compete with the other 31 teams in the league for the players that they want.
Zachary Pereles of CBS Sports came up with an interesting idea. He chose to do a mock draft of free agents, setting the order based on money available under the salary cap. That put the Broncos at the No. 14 slot, and they still walked away with one of the gems of this year's free-agent market.
Pereles has the Broncos signing Super Bowl LX MVP Kenneth Walker.
"Super Bowl 60 MVP Kenneth Walker III is the first running back off the board here. A tackle-breaking machine with elite burst and athleticism, Walker, 25, would provide a much-needed boost for the Broncos, who ranked 28th in explosive rush rate and 24th in yards per carry from Week 11 onward following J.K. Dobbins' injury", wrote Pereles.
This would be a huge get for the Broncos as it would add a tremendous lead back to the offense to pair with second-year player RJ Harvey, creating one of the most dynamic backfields in the league. This prediction directly contradicts the one recently made by Dan Graziano of ESPN, who has the Broncos losing out on the top running backs on this year's market.
The Broncos would love to be able to bring in Walker, but they will have to fend off other teams in order to do so. The Kansas City Chiefs are a team looking for a new running back and the Washington Commanders are another team that has been connected to signing Walker this offseason.
Both of those teams have more money to spend than the Broncos and the Commanders have considerably more, according to Over the Cap. There is also the chance that the Seattle Seahawks talk him into staying with them.

Walker to Denver sounds great, but the Broncos would have to win a bidding war to make it happen.
