It's sounding more and more like Travis Kelce is going to put off retirement and play another season in the NFL.
But will it be for the Kansas City Chiefs? That's less certain, and it brings other teams into play -- even the Philadelphia Eagles.
This is entirely speculation, but it's based in fact. Kelce is out of contract. He's a free agent.
Reports have indicated that Kelce will at least consider options that aren't the Chiefs.
Would he really consider the Eagles? The team that bashed the Chiefs a couple seasons ago in the Super Bowl? There are two reasons to think he might.

Why Travis Kelce and the Eagles are a match
The first layer is the one that comes to mind when you think about Kelce and the Eagles: his brother, Jason.
Jason Kelce was a beloved center on the offensive line in Philadelphia for his entire NFL career. If Travis wanted to go to Philly, he'd have an advocate.
The second reason, though, is the Eagles' tight end depth chart: It's empty.
Dallas Goedert, Grant Calcaterra and Kylen Granson all have their contracts up. They're all hitting free agency.
It'd make sense for the Eagles to try to get at least one familiar TE face back, but it's unlikely they get back all three.
Besides, they could decide they want to go in a new direction.
If Jason Kelce were to pitch the Eagles to Travis, maybe it'd work.
And oh yeah: Taylor Swift is from Reading, Pennsylvania. Kelce joining the Eagles would be a pseudo-homecoming for his soon-to-be-wife.
So don't write off this idea. You never know.
