J.B. Bickerstaff claims Pistons 'not concerned' on Celtics

The top-seeded Pistons are currently experiencing a rough slump, losing all their past four games.

The Detroit Pistons are suddenly sliding at this point in the season.

On Sunday, the No. 1 team in the Eastern Conference endured its fourth consecutive loss, absorbing a 121-110 defeat against the Miami Heat.

From beating teams one game to another, the talented Pistons (45-18) have shockingly turned vulnerable recently. And out of this, their hold atop the East is becoming loose already, in which the Boston Celtics (43-21) are just 2.5 games away from snatching the top seed.

But J.B. Bickerstaff stands bold that the Pistons will overcome their current slump, further shrugging off the threat being imposed by the Celtics to the Conference's supremacy.

"It's the NBA, right? The season is long. Everybody goes through difficult times or a little bit of a rut. We just found ours right now. And again, we’ve got plenty of time left to do what we’ve got to do," the Detroit head coach said after their loss in Miami this weekend.

"Boston is obviously a good team, but we’re not concerned about Boston. Our biggest concern is making sure that we’re doing what we need to do to go out and be as good as we possibly can. We’ve got plenty of time to figure it out, and we will."

As they desperately attempt to redeem themselves, Bickerstaff and Detroit have to keep a watchful eye on Boston's ongoing run.

The Celtics continue to captivate everyone with their special season. As such, the improbable return of Jayson Tatum from his lengthy torn Achilles rehabilitation is clearly a dangerous sign not only for the Pistons but for the entire Eastern Conference.

With Jaylen Brown taking the lead with an MVP-caliber season, Tatum slowly reclaiming his superstar form and the rest of the group balling out behind Derrick White, the Celtics are positioned to rule the NBA again.

With a 3-1 record, the Pistons have dominated the Celtics in their four-game regular-season series. But with Tatum back in Boston's lineup, Detroit can only be ready and determined to be back on track immediately.
