Veteran fullback Alec Ingold is signing a two-year, $7.5 million deal with the Chargers, sources tell The Insiders.

Ingold gets $3.9M in Year 1 and his $3.75M APY puts him in a tie as the NFL’s highest-paid fullback on a deal negotiated by @KyleStrongin of @RangeSportsRMP.

Signing the fullback reunites Ingold with his former head coach, Mike McDaniel, who both spent the last four seasons with the Miami Dolphins.

The 2023 season was the best of Ingold’s career with McDaniel as playcaller, earning the FB a Pro Bowl nod. The duo reunites in Los Angeles with the former head coach now as offensive coordinator.

Alec Ingold’s deal with the Los Angeles Chargers makes the fullback the highest-paid player at his position.

LA agreed to a contract with the player as he was already a free agent.

Khalil Mack returned to the team on a one-year, $18 million fully guaranteed deal after considering retirement after the 2025 season.

LA has started to take action on the interior offensive line after having one of the worst O-lines in the league.

The Bolts agreed to a three-year, $30 million contract with former Washington Commanders center Tyler Biadasz. The center was graded the 11th-best center in the league by Pro Football Focus with a 70.7 overall grade out of 40 qualifying players at the position.

Kimani Vidal had a breakout season after starters on the depth chart were sidelined with injuries. The running back ran for 643 yards and 3 touchdowns on the season. For his actions, Los Angeles placed an exclusive rights tender (ERFA) on the RB.

The ERFA is a tender for any player with fewer than three accrued seasons and an expired contract. If his original team offers him a one-year contract at the league minimum (based on his credited seasons), the player cannot negotiate with other teams.

Blockbuster trades have happened in the last few days, such as Trent McDuffie to the LA Rams and Maxx Crosby to the Baltimore Ravens.

The Los Angeles Chargers could be the next team to make a league-changing trade, as the team has been keeping tabs on AJ Brown.

Adding the Philadelphia Eagles star would give new offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel and quarterback Justin Herbert a new toy. It would cost the team a first and second round selection for the player, but would provide an immediate threat and give Herbert the WR1 he has been hoping for in his career.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler also reports that the Bolts could move Quentin Johnston in a trade (not with Philly).

With legal tampering available soon, the Los Angeles Chargers can build a Super Bowl roster.
