In his recent appearance on Serbian basketball podcast X&O’s Chat, Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic labelled Anthony Edwards as the player he watches and likes the most in the NBA right now.

“Edwards is a defensive monster when he wants to be. He’s good, he’s really good. It just somehow happens that I always watch them [Minnesota]," Jokic told podcast host Edin Avdic.
It is an intriguing revelation from Jokic. After all, he and the Minnesota Timberwolves sensation have been intertwined in several memorable bouts in the past already.
Both players have been central figures in the Nuggets-Wolves rivalry. It all started in 2023 when Jokic and Denver outlasted Edwards and Minnesota in five games of their first-round series en route to the NBA title.
The following year, the Edwards-led Timberwolves drew a successful revenge by ousting Jokic and the Nuggets in a thrilling seven-game West Semifinals series.
Edwards is often being pegged as one of the potential next faces of the NBA, and his explosiveness, charisma and talent are undeniably compelling to watch. This season, he is enjoying his best offensive year, averaging a career-high 29.6 points with 5.2 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.4 steals.
