Everton have the opportunity to bring in some new faces when the summer transfer window opens for business
Everton are positioned in 8th place in the Premier League table. They are looking to get into Europe this season under the guidance of David Moyes. The Toffees have enjoyed a successful first year in the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
The Merseyside outfit beat Burnley 2-0 at home last time out. James Tarkowski and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall got their goals against the Clarets. Next up is an away trip to the Emirates Stadium to play Arsenal this weekend as they aim to keep their momentum going.

We have asked X’s AI tool Grok to predict Everton’s biggest summer signing for 2026. The software believes they will secure an eye-catching £55million deal for Real Sociedad winger Takefusa Kubo. He is under contract in La Liga until June 2029 so a big money fee would be needed to lure him away from Spain.
Kubo, 24, has made 20 appearances in all competitions this season, 18 of which have come in the league. He has chipped in with two goals and three assists. His numbers haven’t been the best over recent times which means his current club may well be willing to cash in on him in the next window if the right money arrives.
The Japan international, who has 48 caps to his name, would give the Toffees more competition and depth if he jonied. He would give them something different at the top end of the pitch. In addition, he could inject more quality into Moyes’ starting XI.
Would Real Sociedad star Takefusa Kubo suit Everton?
If Everton get into a European competition, they will need as many bodies at their disposal as possible to deal with the increased workload of fixtures. Kubo is still young but has played a lot of games so far in his career. He has potential to get better and develop down the line.
He would be a shrewd long-term addition by the Toffees if they managed to lure him in. As with anyone from abroad though, patience would be required whilst he adapted to life in England. If he arrived, that could pave the way for someone like Dwight McNeil or Tyler Dibling to head out the exit door.
Kubo was snapped up by Real Sociedad back in 2022 and has since become one of their most prized assets. He has since played 157 matches for the San Sebastian club. The forward has found the net on 25 occasions which shows he is a threat from the wing.
The Kawasaki-born man started his senior career at FC Tokyo and broke into their first-team as a teenager before Real Madrid brought him over to Europe in 2019. He then spent three years on the books at the Santiago Bernabeu. The wideman found it hard to get game time there though and didn’t play a competitive game.
Instead, he was loaned out to Villarreal, Mallorca and Getafe to get some experience under his belt. Real Sociedad were then given the green light to land him permanently. Kubo has proved himself in Spain and a change of scene to England would do him good.
