Frank Leboeuf claims that Paris Saint-Germain should be the team that is “worried” heading into the Champions League tie with Chelsea on Wednesday night.
Speaking after Luis Enrique’s side lost 3-1 to Monaco at home, Leboeuf said that they will be in trouble if they repeat that performance at the Parc des Princes later this week:
“They were invisible in the middle of the park. We know how important it is to win the battle, and if you think about the next games they are going to play against Chelsea, with Caicedo.”
“I think Reece James, if Malo Gusto plays at right-back and Fernandez at the top of the triangle, that is going to be a hard task. If Chelsea play the way they played against Aston Villa, PSG have to be worried.”

PSG’s recent form has been erratic
It is fair to say that teams have exposed vulnerabilities in the European champions over the past month or so. As well as beating them in the league on Friday, Monaco took their French rivals to the brink in the Champions League playoff round, only narrowly losing 5-4 on aggregate.
In the league, Enrique’s men have won 2 and lost 2 of their last four matches, and they are just a point ahead of Lens in the Ligue One table as things stand.
Chelsea have rested key players
While PSG will have had an additional day of rest ahead of the Champions League tie this week, it should be pointed out that Blues head coach Liam Rosenior heavily rotated his squad in the FA Cup. Buy Chelsea’s fourth FA Cup kit 2019-20 from Classic Football Shirts here.
The likes of Reece James, Trevoh Chalobah, Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez and Cole Palmer did not feature at all against Wrexnham, so they should be fresh and ready to go ahead of the trip to Paris.
