He told fans that an announcement would come soon with just three months left on his contract. You’d imagine the same is true for Konate as well.

Last season, Virgil van Dijk and Mo Salah’s extensions were announced in mid-April. It should be similar this season, and at that point, we will be able to properly start thinking about what the defence looks like next season.
