Erik Spoelstra: Heat are 'trying to seize the moment' amid five-game win streak

The Miami Heat have found their form recently, currently riding a five-game win streak.

This streak includes victories against playoff teams like the Houston Rockets and the Eastern Conference-leading Detroit Pistons.

Of all their recent victories, Sunday's win against Detroit was by far the most impressive.

Miami defeated the Pistons by 11 points and once again saw strong performances from the trio of Tyler Herro, Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Bam Adebayo.

Herro continued his impressive shooting after eight made three-pointers in a win against the Charlotte Hornets. He finished Sunday's game with 25 points, six rebounds, three assists and one steal.

Adebayo posted an all-around performance as well, finishing with 24 points, nine rebounds, six assists, one block and one steal.

Jaquez Jr. added to the scoring off the bench, posting 19 points to go along with seven assists, five rebounds and one block.

Following the game, head coach Erik Spoelstra spoke on Miami's recent form, hoping to climb out of Play-In territory before the end of the regular season.

"You can sense that our locker room is trying to seize the moment right now," Spoelstra said.

Not only are the Heat in midst of an impressive streak, they've stacked wins in the absence of key contributors.

Norman Powell, Simone Fontecchio and Nikola Jovic have all been sidelined for the last three games or more while Andrew Wiggins has missed the last two.

That said, Wiggins is labeled as day-to-day and could return as soon as Tuesday against the Wizards.
