Chelsea regular starter not considered untouchable with interest coming in this summer

Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos has been described as ‘not untouchable’ as clubs line up as interested suitors this summer.

That’s not to say that Santos will be sold by Chelsea, or that he even wants to leave. But apparently he is not a player that Chelsea will say not available at any price about.

The Brazilian has cemented himself into a regular starting role under Liam Rosenior and he has been playing very well for him in midfield.

So you would expect that Rosenior will want to keep him in his squad going forward and would encourage Chelsea to turn away an interest that is coming in for the youngster.

And he does have interest coming in!

According to Brazilian outlet NT Vascaínos, Santos is well liked at Chelsea but not considered untouchable. As a result, major European clubs are monitoring his situation.

Manchester United are mentioned as the main candidate currently keeping close tabs on the midfielder. Meanwhile, Juventus are also said to be following developments.

United have been linked with Santos quite a bit but I don’t think Chelsea will be very willing to sell him in the summer, especially not a close rival.

In other news today…

Chelsea midfielder Dario Essugo iskeen for more minutes after finally playing following months out injured. He came on against Wrexham on Saturday evening and showed a lot of promise, even setting up a goal with a superb lob pass.

Essugoalso spoke about the difficulties of being out for so long. He won’t want to dwell on it now he’s back, but it must have been so frustrating. I see more minutes ahead for him now with him being able to give rests to the likes of Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez.
