Jalen Duren points to major problem behind Pistons losing streak

Detroit fell 121-110 against the Miami Heat on Sunday night, extending their losing streak to four games. Even with star guard Cade Cunningham back in the lineup, the Pistons could not slow down Miami.

After the game, Detroit center Jalen Duren did not hide his frustration with the team's performance.

"I just think that we were not locked in," Duren told reporters after the game per Pistons writer Coty M. Davis. "Including myself. We just have to be better and get back to how we were defending early in the season. [We need] to get back to being that top-three defense."

The slide began on March 3 against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Despite Cleveland missing several players, the Pistons dropped a close 113-109 game.

Two nights later, Detroit faced the Spurs again and suffered a heavy 121-106 defeat.

Looking to stop the skid, the Pistons traveled to face the Brooklyn Nets. On paper, Detroit had the stronger roster, even without Cunningham in the lineup. However, Brooklyn staged a late comeback and escaped with a 107-105 win.

The loss in Miami now makes it four straight defeats for Detroit.
