Charles Lee talks LaMelo Ball's signature one-legged three

The Charlotte Hornets set out on a four-game West Coast road trip Sunday, facing the Phoenix Suns who were without Dillon Brooks, Grayson Allen and former Hornet Mark Williams.

That said, despite injuries to the Suns, Charlotte was unable to get the job done on the road and suffered their second consecutive loss after a six-game winning streak.

Free throws were the difference maker, as the Suns attempted 11 more foul shots in the 12-point loss and shot 21% better from the line.

LaMelo Ball was the only Hornets player to score over 20 points, finishing with 22.

But ultimately, the trio of Devin Booker, Jalen Green and Collin Gillespie proved to be too much, as they combined to score 78 of the Suns' 111 points.

Ahead of the game, head coach Charles Lee praised Ball and one of his unique skills, the one-legged three-pointer.

"Some people, I think, see some of the one-footed threes and they're kind of like, 'huh.' But he works a lot on them, he practices them and I believe it's going in every time he shoots it."

Although it's certainly unorthodox, Ball's three-point success cannot be denied.

Currently, Ball ranks tied for sixth in the league with 194 made three-pointers despite missing 10 games due to injury.

All the while, he's shooting 36.3%, his highest mark since the 2022-23 season.

Ball's teammate Kon Knueppel ranks No. 1 with 224, 22 threes ahead of second place.

Both Ball and Knueppel will be back in action Tuesday as the Hornets face the Portland Trail Blazers.
