Collin Gillespie's three-point success doesn't surprise teammate Devin Booker

All season long the Phoenix Suns have endured numerous injuries.

Heading into Sunday night's game against the Charlotte Hornets, the Suns were without key contributors including Dillon Brooks, Mark Williams and Grayson Allen.

That said, injuries didn't stop the Suns from earning their 37th win of the season, now 10 games over .500.

Jalen Green did plenty of damage in the first half, scoring 20 points before the break.

Devin Booker went a perfect 15-for-15 from the free throw line, finishing with 30 points and 10 assists.

However, Phoenix received another boost from Collin Gillespie as he continues to shoot lights out from three-point range.

Gillespie finished with 24 points on 5-for-10 shooting from deep. Three of Gillespie's five threes came in the fourth, putting the game out of reach for the Hornets.

This season, Gillespie is currently shooting 42.4% on three-pointers, 11th best in the league.

Not to mention the high volume he's shooting at.

With five made threes Sunday, Gillespie moved into a tie for the Western Conference lead in made three-pointers, tying Donte DiVincenzo of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Following the game, Devin Booker spoke on Gillespie's recent form, making clear that it isn't anything he hasn't seen already.

"He's obviously not shy in those big moments. He gamed us twice in training camp," said Booker.

With the win, Phoenix increased their lead in the Western Conference standings, now holding a four and a half game advantage over eighth place.

They'll have Monday off before traveling to Milwaukee for a matchup against the Bucks Tuesday.
