All eyes are on the Philadelphia Eagles and wide receiver A.J. Brown ahead of free agency.
There have been rumors floating around all offseason that the Eagles could trade Brown, and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Philly has spoken to at least four teams about him.
Those four teams are the New England Patriots, Los Angeles Chargers, Buffalo Bills and Los Angeles Rams.
However, Rapoport said on Monday morning that there doesn't seem to be a lot of momentum for a Brown trade right now.
"The Eagles have had active conversations with at least four teams, the Buffalo Bills, who traded for DJ Moore, the Los Angeles Chargers, who had some interest, the Rams, who have checked in from time to time, and the New England Patriots."
"There just does not seem as of right now that there is momentum toward this deal," Rapoport added. "Anything can happen, these deals can change on a dime... I just don't know if [the Eagles and Patriots] are going to get there."
The biggest roadblock for a Brown trade has been the Eagles' asking price, which is reportedly similar to what the New York Jets got for Quinnen Williams, which was a first- and second-round pick and a player, defensive lineman Mazi Smith.
All four of those teams could use more help at wide receiver, with the Bills and Patriots having the most dire need.
That said, after the Bills acquired DJ Moore in a trade with the Chicago Bears, chances are they will no longer be in the mix for Brown.
New England cut ties with Stefon Diggs, which makes adding at least one veteran wide receiver — and preferably a true No. 1 target — a must.
But, as of right now, it looks like the Pats will have to look elsewhere for help.
