Patriots re-signing offensive player who changed positions last season

The Patriots are bringing back fullback/tight end Jack Westover, a source told the Herald.

Westover, 26, switched from tight end to fullback during training camp and went on to play in 17 games, starting two. He was on the field for 237 regular-season snaps.

Westover entered the NFL with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Washington in 2024. He originally signed to the Patriots’ practice squad in October 2024 but spent all of last season on the 53-man roster.

Westover finished the regular season with one catch. He also caught an 8-yard pass in the postseason.

The Patriots also have fullback Brock Lampe and tight ends Hunter Henry, CJ Dippre and Marshall Lang on their 90-man roster.
