Broncos not on A.J. Brown's reported trade wish list, two division rivals are

As the NFL free-agent market opens, one of the players that has been talked about the most in recent weeks is Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown.

It has seemed unlikely that Brown would play for the team again after this past season, but general manager Howie Roseman has made it clear he won't give up the three-time Pro Bowler easily.

The Denver Broncos need a true No. 1 wide receiver and Brown was identified as a possible option for the team early on in the offseason. But if the [reported asking price](https://Broncos not on A.J. Brown's reported trade wish list, two division rivals are) wasn't enough to drive the Broncos away, the fact that they are apparently not on his wish list could give them no choice.

That wish list, according to Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated, contains four known teams. Two of those teams are in the AFC West, the Chargers and Chiefs. The other two teams are the Bills and Patriots. Could the Broncos go from a team that was connected to Brown as a possibility to one that has to face him twice per year?

For what it's worth, Breer still thinks Brown ends up in New England, if there is a trade.

Broncos likely out on any A.J. Brown deal

If this wish list is accurate, it's clear that Brown wants to play with one of the perceived top quarterbacks in the league as his choices would include Patrick Mahomes, Justin Herbert, Josh Allen and Drake Maye. It's long been assumed that he and Jalen Hurts don't really enjoy playing together and Brown's frustrations with not getting the ball as often as he feels he should have spilled over more than once.

Making a trade for Brown, particularly one that would likely include multiple high draft picks, has never felt like a move that Sean Payton would sign off on. It goes against his normal practice and it would add a player to the roster who does come with some character concerns.

Brown may leave Philly, but at this point, it would be somewhat shocking if he landed in Denver.
