Former Bears QB Mitch Trubisky to sign with Titans

Former Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky will have a new home in 2026: Nashville, Tenn.

He agreed to sign a two-year deal with the Titans, per NFL Network, on the first day of legal tampering in the NFL. He’ll serve as a backup quarterback to Cam Ward, who was the No. 1 overall pick last year. He’ll play for Robert Saleh, who was named head coach in January, and coordinator Brian Daboll.

Trubisky knows Daboll’s system, having played for him in 2021, which was the quarterback’s first tour with the Bills. Since leaving the Bears after the 2020 season, Trubisky played a year in Buffalko, then two in Pittsburgh and two more in Buffalo.

When Trubisky traveled to Halas Hall last year for a joint practice between the Bears and Bills, he reflected on playing quarterback in Chicago.

“There’s a lot of pressure that comes with that, but it’s a privilege,” he said. “I miss that. It’s a lot of fun to be the franchise guy, especially in a city like this.”
