Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has spent his career in the limelight. From his Pro Bowl stats to his frightening history with concussions, his mere presence on the football field has, at times, been polarizing.
But for as prolific as Tagovailoa, 26, has been on the field, he has not disclosed much about his personal life or his marriage to Annah Gore. In fact, the couple was already married for a year before the two even went Instagram official.
Tagovailoa and Gore have not publicly disclosed when or how they met, but reports indicate they met when they were in high school. Tagovailoa went to high school in his native Hawai'i from 2013 to 2017 while Gore studied in North Carolina. Both went to college at the University of Alabama.
Here's a timeline of what we do know about Tagovailoa and Gore's relationship, including when they married and welcomed their two kids, son Ace and daughter Maisey.

Tagovailoa and Gore welcomed son Ace in August 2022. The quarterback credits Ace as one of the reasons why he's stuck with football despite various injuries, saying he wants his son to be able to see him play.
"I mean, with my son, I always dreamed of playing as long as I could to where my son knew exactly what he was watching his dad do," he told the media in 2023.

Days after Tagovailoa and Gore married, a reporter from Fox Sports leaked the news. Tagovailoa did not take kindly to his private life becoming public.
"I mean, for me, I love to keep my life as private as possible and that's what we tried to do with me, my wife, and my daily," he said. "But obviously in this world that's not how it is. It's almost kind of disrespectful by doing that but it is what it is. Can't do anything about it. I have a wife."
He added that the ceremony "was very special," though he wasn't sure how a reporter caught wind of it.
"I don't know how it ended up leaking, but he must've been waiting outside the courthouse for an entire week or something," he said.
