Have the Cowboys signed anyone in free agency? Dallas off to troubling start

The [Dallas Cowboys](https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/dallas-cowboys) were widely expected to be aggressive in free agency this offseason.

After all, the team has tons of needs on the defensive side of the ball, and even Jerry Jones hinted that the team could be big spenders in free agency.

However, we're now two hours past the start of the legal tampering period of free agency, when teams can begin agreeing to deals with players, and the Cowboys remain silent as several players fly off the board.

Dallas did pull off a trade with the [Green Bay Packers](https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/green-bay-packers) for edge rusher Rashan Gary, and that's a significant move because the Cowboys had a big need at the position.

But that has been the extent of Day 1 of free agency for the Cowboys, who are looking like bystanders rather than aggressive suitors.

The moves the Cowboys have made thus far have come with their own players.

Dallas franchise-tagged wide receiver George Pickens, re-signed running back Javonte Williams, and placed tenders on kicker Brandon Aubrey and offensive lineman T.J Bass.

As far as outside free agents go, it has been crickets for Jones and Co.
